Day 15-17( S4 Teaching Practice)

 06/01/2026—Tuesday

Today I have reached the school at 8.45 am.Have signed the morning attendance and volunteered the morning line duty at the school. After the line duty I had to collect the substitution class.I had my class here at 9 L with a lot of vibrant students.My first period was at 9 B1. I had got the opportunity to take lesson template of the topic relating to the new chapter named Prism. First of all I have to aware them what was prism. So in order to execute the topic I had used the Concept Attainment Model Lesson template of Jerome S Bruner.

Phase 1- Presentation of data and identification of concept

I wished the students and asked them that we were going to learn in a different way. I will be showing a few negative and positive examples of the concept in my mind and you have to guess the concept in my mind. Then I showed positive example of the cuboidal box ppt and asked the students what are it's features and wrote on the board. Similarly I have shown the negative example and done the same process 

Phase 2- Testing attainment of Concept

I showed a few unlabelled examples and asked which among the following are the prisms and students answered correctly. 

Phase 3 - Analysis of thinking strategy

I asked how did we arrive at the concept of prisms, students said from the examples what teacher showed. Then once again I explained the topic to the students and gave a home assignment


 07/01/2026–  Wednesday

Today I have reached the school at 8.30 am.Have signed the morning attendance and volunteered the morning line duty at the school. After the line duty I had to collect the substitution class.I had my class here at 9 L with a lot of vibrant students. I had got the opportunity to take two lesson template of the topic relating to Volume of the prism from the chapter Prisms.I have asked certain previously learned questions like What is the area of square, rectangle, hexagon and all it's perimeter and . I had a rigorous check up through the chapter and presented it well. I have gone thoroughly through the SCERT Mathematics textbook and handbook of standard 9 th.I have used a blend of English and Malayalam language for communication as it was more comfortable to them. There were 37/42 students present in the classroom. Good class management and time management. A proper verbal and nonverbal communication was fostered. The hand writing on the Blackboard was neat and legible. Proper activity cards for developmental part and pot vere displayed for execution of the problems related to the concept.A positive reinforcement was given. Review conducted and home assignment were given.I have given them the activity to implement the concept to them. Generalised the concept.Review was conducted,Proper reinforcement was given. Audible sound.Neat and legible hand writing. Hoome assignments were given.
