Day 6-10 (Dairy S3 Teaching Practice)



Day 6

14/07/2025- Monday

I have arrived at St Mary's HSS Pattom School at 8.50 am.I have volunteered the morning line duty after that I have signed my morning attendance register.I have got 2 periods to take classes at 8F on Monday ,among which 1 was substitution.The period was  second and fourth.There were 32/35 people present in the class.I wanted to take the class on the topic" If in two triangles,the length of one side and the two angles of its ends are the same,then their third angle and the length of other two side will also be the same.For execution,I have checked their previous knowledge by continuosly asking questions related to the concept which was taught previously.After that I have give them some activities on the activity card to make the the concept more clear..They have done the activity.From the activity I have implemented the concept and review was conducted after the class.In the third period I have taken my 7 th Lp which included some activities and PPT for generalization.

15/07/2025-Tuesday-Mar Ivanius day-holiday

Day 7

16/07/2025- Wednesday 

 I have reached the school around 9.am.Have volunteered the morning duty after that I have signed the attendance register.Soon after signing,the first period was at 8F.Today I need to introduce a new type of triangle to them.It was Isosceles triangle..I have drawn some triangles on the board which has 2 sides equal and explained to the class that" A triangle in which two sides are equal are called an Isosceles triangle".Have given some activities on the activity card and have generalised the taught concept in a PPT.I have checked the previous knowledge by frequently asking questions.I have checked each of their note book after the class.Review was conducted.After the class I had a few more substitution classes.There was a meeting with the Headmaster to give some directions to the teacher trainees.At 4 pm after the evening line duty ,I have signed the attendance and went back to hostel.

Day 8

17/07/2025- Thursday 

I have reached the school at 8.45 am , volunteered the morning line duty and marked the morning attendance in the register. At 4 th period and 7 th period I had to take classes at 8F.Ome among the period was a substitution.I had took the fundamental property of Isosceles triangle  in one period and problems of it  in the other period.I have given them some triangle cut outs which was Isosceles triangles and asked them to fold it in such a way that the opposite angles coincide each other.I have explained the fundamental property as" if two sides in a triangle are equal then their opposite angles are also equal"..In the 7 th period I have given the problems of the property as another lesson plan.

Day 9

18/07/2025- Friday 

Reached the school at 8.45.Volunteered the morning line duty and marked the morning attendance on the register.I had my second period at 9E and third period at 9L as substitution.Among those class spending time with 9L students was too good as they we were so cooperative in the class They have listened to me very carefully while I was taking the class. Though it was construction class of parallel lines all of them have written the problem systematically and in the right way.I have taken the topic "Each angle of an equilateral triangle is 60°".I have given an activity card to each group that was divided by me in the initial time of the class.I have generalised the concept using the PPT.Have checked the previous knowledge by frequently asking questions related to the concept. Review was conducted.I have served the students in the Mid Day Meal programme by Government of Kerala which was usually done everyday.

Day 10

19/07/2025- Saturday 




Reached the scool at 8.50 Am..There was the Arts and Literary Club Inauguration function of the school.Alfred IAS was the chief guest for the ceremony.The 8 th standard students were exempted from the programme so that I had my classes at 2 nd period for 8F..As the day was Saturday so many students were absent on the day but my concerned teacher initiated me to take the class..I have to take the 12 th lp in the second period.The topic was opposite sides and opposite angles.I have checked the previous knowledge of students by frequently asking questions and given them an activity that contains a triangle and few details about the concept was given..I have asked some of the students to come and find the answers and write on the black board.After implementing the concept I have generalised the concept in the PPT.I have volunteered the arts club programme afternoon..The children presented different varieties of art forms on the stage.

 Day 1- 16/06/2025 This was my first day at St Mary's HSS ,Pattom.I have started my journey from the hostel around 8.00 am and reached the school almost around 8.30 am. Initially I had met my concerned Mathematics  teacher Mrs Deepthi Thomas and enquired about the class room .She signed my lesson template number 1 and 2 and took the 2 classes and covered the two lesson templates.The lesson template was on the topic decimal squares of the chapter Squares.We signed the attendance register at morning as well as at the evening.I  have served the students in the Mid day meal.Have done the line duty at morning and evening and after that I went to hostel. Day 2- 17/06/2025 This day was my second day at St Mary's HSS,Pattom.I have reached the school at  8.45 am.I have done the morning  line duty .My concerned Mathematics teacher was on leave on that day and she insisted me earlier to conduct an exam in 8F class.I have written the questions on the black board and invigil...

Day 25-29(Dairy S3 Teaching Practice)

  Day 25 11/08/2025 Today I have reached the school at 8.37 am which was quite early. Have signed the morning attendance and volunteered the morning line duty at the school. After the line duty I had to collect the substitution class.In my class I had taught the chapter square identity which covers the topic twice the sum of two perfect squares and formula of 4xy .I have used a blend of English and Malayalam language for communication as it was more comfortable to them. There were 31/35 students present in the classroom. Good class management and time management. A proper verbal and nonverbal communication was fostered. The hand writing on the Balckboad was neat and legible. Proper activity cards for developmental part and ppt was made for generalisation of the concept in the right context. A positive reinforcement was given. Review conducted and home assignment were given.I have given them the activity to implement the concept to them. Generalised the concept.Review was conducted,...
